Royal Selangor | Cell & Nyatoh Champagne Glass
Mid-century arbiters of style held champagne as the dernier cri in sophistication, with Hollywood’s stable of movie stars seen imbibing copious amounts of bubbly in the vessel of choice, the coupe.
Despite the champagne flute’s prevalence today, the retro chic coupe is enjoying a comeback, the notoriety of the shapely bowl’s rumoured origins only adding to its glamour quotient. Our nyatoh variant features an openwork version of Bar’s signature conical pewter stem with an insert of the dark toned wood.
Revered Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer’s sensual body of work in that most prosaic of building materials concrete informs the Cell motif.
